Robert Dickman

Robert is an executive coach with The Leets Consortium, headquartered in Newport Beach, California. In his role with TLC, Robert helps leaders improve speaking, writing, and non-verbal communication using narrative techniques developed from Western rhetorical, cognitive, and dramatic traditions. Collaborating with senior management teams, he has coached in and developed workshops for clients at The United States Naval Post Graduate School, Ford Motor Company, Mattel Toys and Shell Oil, among others.

Robert Dickman facilitates tailored interventions to generate authentic learning to achieve clients' business objectives. He has also developed a proprietary method which improves leadership communication skills and innate narrative abilities. This enhanced ability has many applications appreciated by clients including: enhancing leadership communication; engaging difficult audiences in new ventures; building a brand story; increasing sales and improving team problem solving abilities. Robert also coaches senior managers in financial, retail and manufacturing industries on their leadership communication challenges including speaking, speech writing and media appearances.

His seminar "Speaking The Language of Leaders" has been conducted throughout the U.S. at clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to rapidly expanding small business enterprises. As a thought leader in the filed of narrative communication, he writes often including his recent article, 'The Four Essentials of Great Stories," which appeared in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Reflections Journal.

Robert is an active member and seminar leader at The Society for Organizational Learning in Boston and a member of ASTD. Robert holds a B.A. in psychology from Goddard and studied psychology and philosophy at Union Graduate School in Ohio and the Institute de Gnosology in Santiago, Chile. He is currently attending The Hudson Institute's year long certified executive coaching program. As an award winning film producer and story coach in the entertainment industry, Robert brings a unique, entertaining and pragmatic perspective to how leaders can create and successfully communicate new ideas.
