Rick Flatow
As a an executive coach for The Leets Consortium, Rick’s consulting and coaching focuses on leadership, strategic planning and management skill development for owners, senior executives and multi-generational family businesses. His clients include consumer products, distribution, manufacturing and personal service companies. His extensive experience as a CEO, in all areas of operations and as a consultant, includes billion dollar multi-national public corporations and middle market privately held companies. He has had experience in all channels of distribution with emphasis in direct sales, every class of retail sales, franchising, and business to business. He has also advised early stage Internet and technology companies on startup strategies, fund raising, management process and recruiting. Rick has created a unique planning process that integrates the business and personal goals of CEOs and senior executives, company owners and families.
His advisory and coaching assignments have focused on the following: CEO training and development; leadership and management assessments; behavior and communication change; team building through facilitating group planning sessions; conflict resolution; recruiting training (position specification, process, assessment, contract negotiation); and corporate and family governance and succession planning.
Mr. Flatow has been a board member for sixteen public and private companies and currently serves on the board of AML Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ) a telecommunications company, Sanders Industries, Inc. a specialty manufacturer, M Financial Group, a financial services company. In addition to his own practice, he is an affiliate with WJM Associates and the Vance Caesar Group for senior executive coaching assignments. He has been a speaker at the UCLA Graduate School of Business Entrepreneurial Studies Program, Pepperdine University, and The Executive Committee (TEC). Mr. Flatow has also been a Family Facilitator at Harvard Business School’s executive education program, Families in Business: From Generation to Generation, which examines pivotal issues facing family businesses. He
has been a member of the Direct Selling Association and was a founding member of the Tech Coast Angels of Los Angeles. Mr. Flatow received his BA in Economics from Lafayette College.
