Jennifer has worked extensively in the financial services, marketing, consumer goods and human service industries as a dedicated leader building training and development functions from the ground up. Her work in partnering with business leaders and executives is highlighted by her belief that talent management and leadership development are critical business strategies.  As a consultant, she is adept at creating solutions that work – business centered people strategies and intense, practical, results-oriented learning.  As a coach, Jennifer believes in creating a true coach-client partnership through open, honest, and direct dialogue.  She adapts her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual client and organization and draws upon her own experiences as a seasoned business leader.  Recent clients include Red Bull North America, j2 Global, Oakwood Worldwide, and Option One Mortgage Corporation.

Jennifer specializes in working with new and emerging leaders as well as mid-level managers and “high potential” individuals.  In her work with new leaders, Jennifer partners with each client to develop an effective, authentic leadership style that engages employees, earns respect, and gets results.  She helps newly promoted leaders to work through the challenges of their new role and the transition from peer to supervisor or supervisor to manager.  She also assists leaders in developing a practical, customized toolkit of resources, processes, and templates to aid in the day-to-day responsibility of leading a team.  In organizations with extensive tools and resources available to leaders, Jennifer assists leaders in effectively implementing the tools provided.

When working with more seasoned leaders such as mid-level managers, Jennifer challenges and supports them in honing and advancing their leadership capabilities to meet the evolving challenges of their role and the business.  Some common areas of focus include strategic thinking, influence and collaboration skills, self-awareness, global leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving, and high impact communication.

Jennifer draws upon a range of disciplines in her coaching practice including Business and Management, Cognitive Behavioral Psychology, Adult Learning and Development, Leadership Theory, and Organizational Studies.  While each client is unique, there are some common themes in the coaching process Jennifer uses.  These include defining desired outcomes, gaining a clear, data-driven picture of the current state, identifying barriers to performance, creating personal and professional insight and breakthroughs, and ensuring a strong link and line of site between individual performance and business results.

Jennifer holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Organization.  She received her coach training at the College of Executive Coaching in Santa Barbara and is currently completing a year-long Graduate Level Certification in Evidence Based Coaching through Fielding Graduate Institute.

Jennifer holds certifications through Franklin Covey, DDI, Porter Henry, The Gallup Organization, Vital Smarts, ASTD, and Prosci’s Change Management Learning Center.  Additionally she is certified to administer a wide range of assessments including Myers-Briggs and DISC as well as the Center for Creative Leadership’s research-based collection of executive and custom multi-rater (360) feedback instruments.
