Jane Hurd

Jane is an executive coach with The Leets Consortium, headquartered in Newport Beach, California. In her role with TLC, she works with leaders to capitalize on their strengths and make weaknesses irrelevant.

Following her success as CEO of Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, Jane lead the dramatic and successful turnaround of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, taking it from $16.5 million in unsecured debt to profitable operations with in 18 months. She then led the organization through eight years of unprecedented growth and improvement. Later Jane founded and built a first of its kind specialist executive recruitment firm and subsequently sold it to Korn/Ferry International. Both entrepreneur and corporate leader, Jane brings a unique mix of skills and experience to her clients.

Having founded and led Community Vision Unlimited, Jane has continually demonstrated an interest and expertise in both the non-profit and the for-profit world. She has been a board of directors member for the Mutual of America Insurance Company, the Hospital Council of Southern California, and the Metropolitan Los Angeles YMCA. Currently Jane is Chairman and a member of the board of directors of Alfigen, a privately held genetics testing laboratory; she is also chairman of Pro-Tem Solutions, a high technology staffing company.

Jane holds a BA degree from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern California. She is the recipient of many awards, including the Silver Achievement Award for Corporate Leadership from the YMCA.

Jane recently released her first book, The Everyday Genius: Profiting From Your Strengths and Making Your Weaknesses Irrelevant, a practical and entertaining guide to better business performance and more successful relationships.
