Carol J. Geffner, Ph.D

Carol is an organizational consultant and executive coach with The Leets Consortium, headquartered in Newport Beach, California. In her role with TLC, Carol coaches leaders and assists with the development of senior leadership teams.

As President of Shared Services for Freedom Communications, Inc., Carol directed Human Resources, Purchasing, Risk Management, Communications & Marketing, and co-led Information Technology, for this privately-held, $1 billion, national media company. There she was known for her ability to diagnose complex strategic issues and develop and execute solutions to improve business performance.

Prior to joining Freedom Communications, Inc., she was Regional Vice President of Organizational Consulting for Right Management Consultants, a $450M global human resources consulting firm, where she helped establish the first organizational consulting practice in Southern California.

Later, Carol assumed a leadership role in establishing Right’s global coaching business, where she was selected to serve on a corporate task force to design the first coaching template for the company.

She is a member of the founding leadership team of the Professional Coaches and Mentor’s Association and has been a presenter at their annual conference. Carol also conducted research on the relevance of standard coaching models for high performance, female executives across North America and Canada. She is an Orange County United Way board member and is a member of Women in Philanthropy.

Carol received her Ph.D. in Education from Claremont Graduate University. She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development & Training from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. She has been on the faculty of Chapman University and the Peter Drucker Graduate School of Business at Claremont Graduate University.
